Ingredients
4lbs.St. Louis style pork spare ribs
Sauce
1cupfirmly packed light brown sugar
¼cupWorcestershire sauce
⅓cupsoy sauce
¼cupcider vinegar
¼cupchili sauce
½cupketchup
2teaspoonsprepared yellow mustard
2clovesgarlicpeeled and crushed
⅛teaspoon pepper
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line a cookie sheet with heavy duty foil and spray with cooking spray.
Place ribs on sheet and bake, uncovered, for 45 minutes.
Drain off all drippings, and mix all the sauce ingredients into a blender. Pour half of the sauce over the ribs.
Bake for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours longer, turning and basting every 20 minutes until tender and richly browned. *For even more flavorful ribs, follow directions in Notes.
Notes
For even better flavor, marinate the ribs after basting in the 1/3 of the sauce in turned-off oven for 3-4 hours after first 3/4 hour of baking.Then, if possible, drain off the drippings and bake for an additional 1½ hours longer as directed, basting every 20 minutes.
