Homemade Baked Beans are a classic easy side dish that brings hearty comfort and rich flavor to any meal with tender beans and a sweet and savory sauce, slow-cooked to perfection in the oven.

Ingredients
6slices raw bacon
1medium onionminced
31ouncesGreat Northern Beans(2) 15.5 ounce cans - 1 drained and rinsed and 1 undrained
¾cup barbecue sauce
⅓cuplight brown sugar
⅓cupketchup
¼cupmolasses
1tablespoonmustard powder
1tablespoonWorcestershire sauce
1teaspoongarlic powder
1teaspoonpepper
½teaspoonkosher salt
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F, and spray an 8 X 8-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until browned and crisp. Place on a paper towel lined plate. Put the onion in pan and cook until soft, about 5 minutes. Using a slotted spoon to drain the grease, place into a large mixing bowl. Crumble the bacon and add it to the bowl as well.
Into the large bowl with the onion and bacon, add the drained and undrained beans, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, molasses, mustard powder, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, pepper and salt. Mix well.
Transfer to the prepared baking dish and cover with tin foil. Bake for 2 hours. Remove the tin foil, stir, and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes. Stir again and allow to cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
