I am one happy momma today.

Our youngest daughter, Emma returned home for a visit yesterday. It’s been 8 months since we’ve seen her and that’s way too long for my liking.
Needless to say I shed a few tears when I saw her step off the escalator. I couldn’t control myself.
Even with all of this instant modern technology and being able to talk to her on the phone, Facetime and Skype, it doesn’t replace being with a loved one in person.

We went out to dinner after we picked her up from the airport and the sarcasm, laughter began.
Who am I kidding? It all started less than 7 minutes after we met up. I SO wanted to get a family selfie, but when we tried to take one this happened…

Darn family wouldn’t take another one.
So, I did my griping and was able to talk them into another one when we got out of the car at the restaurant.

It was better, but as you can see, two in the group…ok, maybe three still decided to goof off. But that just sums up our family and why I love them.
I’m so looking forward to every moment together this week, but not the root canal I have scheduled for Tuesday. Ick.
