Why I Love Purchasing in Bulk with Zaycon Foods

Today, I want to talk to you about a company that I’ve been doing business with since January, 2011, just a few weeks before I started this blog, actually.
Coincidence? I think not.
If you’ve been following me for any length of time, you probably know that I’m not one to talk about a product or a company that I don’t believe in. I am not going to take on a sponsored post just because I’m going to receive free product or make some easy money, like a review for a tire company. Not!
I want you to be able to trust me when I say I use what I talk about and I like it.
This is the case with Zaycon Foods.
I honestly don’t remember how I was even introduced to this fabulous company. I think it may have been when I was in my couponing phase, clipping from the 4 Sunday papers I had delivered every week and was buying lots of food in bulk. The coupon clipping continues though only sporadically, but the orders from Zaycon are something I’m not willing to give up on.

People typically go shopping at their favorite grocery store and pick up the meat they’ll need to make dinner for the week or even that night. Believe me, I’ve made many daily trips to the store not knowing what I was going to make for dinner. With Zaycon Foods, making dinner is so much easier.

Theirs is a different sales model.
You begin by placing your order online. If you aren’t currently a customer, you create an account and when you do that, you’ll be given a unique referral number, but more about that in just a minute. Once you’ve set up your account, you can do some shopping! I find that it’s easiest for me to shop by location as opposed to shopping by product. I type in my zip code and then a list of sales event locations comes up. This list will show you what foods are available on what date and how close your pick-up location is. Just select the item or items you want to purchase, pay for them online and pick them up on the specified date. Once the date arrives, drive to your chosen location at the specified time, and give the person your name (I also bring a copy of my receipt). They’ll check off you off then have you drive through the line to pick it up AND those wonderful people will even load it into your car! It’s THAT easy!! I’ll admit that driving up to a semi-truck in a parking lot where they’re unloading boxes of frozen food into your car was certainly odd to me at first, but trust me. it works!
Also, one of the great things I’ve discovered when ordering is that if one location doesn’t have an item available or if the date and time at my nearest location doesn’t fit into my schedule, I’ll order it so that it is convenient for me!

Now when you order on the website, remember that you’re going to be ordering in bulk. I’m sure you know that this means you’ll be receiving a higher quantity of food at a discounted price. The price stays low because there is no middle man, but many times when you purchase items this way you don’t receive a good, quality product. Rest assured that with Zaycon you will receive your money’s worth and more.

To be honest, when I placed my first order with Zaycon Foods back in ’11, I was concerned about prepping, storing and freezing 40 lbs. of boneless, skinless chicken breasts. It was a little overwhelming at first, but once I discovered a system that worked for me, the process went rather quickly and I was so happy that I could plan plenty of dinners over the next few months! Before my first order, I purchased a Food Saver, and it has been one of the best investments I’ve ever made. It makes it so easy to vacuum seal the chicken into the portions I think I might want for the months ahead.
If you think 40 lbs. of meat might be too much for you to prepare or even consume, place your order, gather the girls (or guys) together, and have a prepping party. That way you’re all receiving great quality products at a discounted price, will have food already in your freezer or fridge so there’s no last minute running to the store, and have fun in the process!

Oh, and about the referral program! As I told you before, once you create an account with Zaycon, you’ll be given your unique referral number. This is the number you’ll be giving Betty when she says,
“Hey, Doris, how is it that this chicken you cooked tonight is so fresh and delicious?”
“I purchased it from Zaycon Foods! It’s farm fresh and it’s delivered. I order and pay for it online, drive to the nearest location convenient for me and pick it up. They’ll even load it into my car! I’ve also received money off my products because my friends have purchased it. A $1 credit is put into my account once they order and pick it up, so I’m buying fresh, delicious food at even lower prices than I could in the grocery store. It’s a win-win!”
“Wow, that’s great! I want your referral number so I can start ordering, too!”

My next order is for the 40 lbs. of 93/7 Lean Ground Beef. I’ve only ever ordered the chicken, but we’ve been so pleased with it that I’m excited to try more of their products. You’ll find that they have a lot to choose from!
