I was given the new Keurig 2.0 to review compliments of Influenster. All opinions are my own.
I have to admit that I really, really enjoy my morning cup of coffee. There’s just something relaxing to me about sitting on the couch with my laptop, under the blanket (because it’s chilly), and sipping my coffee. And that smell it’s SO incredibly intoxicating. There’s just something very comforting about it.
Needless to say that when Influenster e-mailed me saying that I’d be receiving the brand new Keurig 2.0 for free to
review, I was SO very excited! #HelloKeurig
Yes, there are other Keurig machines out there, but this one, this one is different! Let me tell you why.
Keurig machines that have come before this one were special, but not this special.
With those you could purchase the K-cups which are little pods containing coffee inside. You put the pod into the machine and out pours some coffee into one. single. cup.
It’s a great thing when there are multiple coffee drinkers in the house who have different tastes. Let’s say Henry likes a dark roast, but Emily likes things on the lighter side AND she likes decaf, so she wants a different decaf blend. Can they compromise?
Yes, that’s why Keurig made it so that these individual K-cups could please everyone. Single servings of coffee in different roasts, in caffeinated and decaffeinated, bringing smiles to many people.
But now, Keurig has come out with something so stinkin’ brilliant that it will make even more coffee drinkers happy!
This new Keurig 2.0 not only brews individual cups of coffee, it also can make enough coffee to fill a small carafe, allowing you to enjoy more coffee for a longer period of time!
Included with your purchase of the machine is an insulated carafe that can hold up to four cups of coffee. But, you ask, I thought K-cups only came in a single serving size. How can I get four cups of coffee out of that one small little container? From the new Carafe K-Cups specifically designed for this machine.
I’m the type of coffee drinker that has one cup and I’m good to go. Mr. 365 on the other hand, wants more than one cup , so this machine really turned out to be great for each of us. He has his carafe filled with the blend he enjoys which is a darker roast and I can enjoy my cup before he gets out of bed or any time I choose.
I’ve found in the past that when we brew a pot of coffee in our regular coffee pot, even though we don’t make a lot, more often than not it ends up going to waste. We just don’t drink all of it. I really enjoy drinking my one cup of coffee in the morning, but sometimes I don’t want it when the Mr. is ready for his and if it’s been sitting in the pot for quite a while, I certainly don’t want it then either.
You can see the difference in the size of the K-cups. The single serving is on the left and the one for the carafe on the right.
The K-Cups come in SO many different varieties, over 200, in fact! For coffee there’s Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts, Green Mountain, and more. There are even K-cups for those that would prefer to have tea from Lipton, Celestial, Twining, Starbucks and others.
The Keurig 2.0 comes with a few cool features, too! You can set it on auto-brew so that your morning cup is ready when you walk into the kitchen, there’s a strong setting for those of you who like a little extra umph in your beverage and you can also have hot water at the touch of a button. There’s a colored night light display which can be changed according to your preference and the touch display panel is large, making it easy to use.
I know there are many people who are in love with their Keurigs and I can understand why. We’ll be using this Keurig 2.0 for a long time to come. Thank you, Influenster!
I give you BIG baking hugs and muffins!!

Sounds like a good machine. Does it use the original k cups as well to brew the one cup or have they changed the size on that as well. Also where I live I can not purchase the coffee I prefer so I use the washable ones as well at times..
Lynne says
Tracy, with this new machine, I’m pretty sure you need to use k-cups are are specifically make for the Keurig machines, no generic and no refillable. They also have a bigger pod so that it will fill the carafe.
Kristin says
Can you use the refillable filter cups? Or off brand cups with this?
Lynne says
Kristin, I don’t believe that you can. You need to look for the cartons that say approved for all K-cup machines. There’s a little spot on the package.

I’m jealous…lucky you to get a free one….my daughter has a Keurig….but I will never be able to afford one…and one with a carafe to boot….that must be like a little piece of heaven. 🙂
