Hello {{ subscriber.first_name }},
I’m currently watching my beloved Red Sox play the Yankees as I put this newsletter together for you. We beat them last night and I’d love them to be able to do it again tonight and tomorrow, but we’ll see!
I’m super excited for the Olympics!! I watched the opening ceremony and loved that we were able to see so much of the city. I was there with our oldest daughter, Alex, a few years ago, and we had a wonderful trip. The highlight for me though was Celine Dion’s performance. She sounded absolutely incredible considering the health issues she’s been dealing with the past few years.
If you need me, I’ll be pretty much glued to the tv the next few weeks watching most of the events. 😉
Hugs,

Favorite Product of the Week:
I always loved reading books, but at some point, life got in the way and up until a few years ago, I hadn’t picked up a book in quite some time.
The other day my son, Cameron, gave me his copy of The Tao of Pooh, and I fell in love with the first few pages so much that I ordered it for myself right away. Winnie the Pooh has been my favorite Disney character ever since I was little and even as I read this book, I can hear his voice in the conversations with the author.
Tip of the Week:
Do you know how to test your flour for freshness?
This test held true for bakers during colonial times, so I’m thinking it must still hold true today. You can test it by looking at it – take a handful of flour and squeeze it tight. If the flour is good, your palm lines will be well defined when you unclench your fist. You can also throw a small amount of dried flour against a smooth surface, and if it falls like powder, then it’s bad. Thanks to Colonial Quills for the tip!
I’d love to hear any tips you have, and what has helped you be more efficient and organized in the kitchen! If you would be interested in sharing them with all of us, and if I choose to share them in our newsletter, I’ll give you a first-name shoutout! ❤️
